Nothing Like a Shot in the Dark

If you are a fan of first person shooter games, you will surely know that there are lot to choose from these days. Blackslot is yet another offering that tries to lure in gamers. Is this one of the best first person shooter games around, or does it leave a lot to be desired? Read on to find out.

One of the things that makes Blackshot stand out from the crowd is the lifelike characters. This is not simply a game that is all about the shooting, although players do have plenty of cool weapons to choose from. The characters help to add a little depth to the story and getting to know them can be interesting for a while.

Players take on the part of a mercenary and strive to make a name for themselves as they explore the game’s various dangerous environments. Hazards seem to crop up when you least expect it and often even for nowhere and this is sure to keep gamers on their toes and add to the addictive nature of the game.

However, the game play and other features closely follow the mechanics of the most popular first person shooter games and if you are used to playing this type of game you will quickly discover that there is not really too much different about Blackshot. It really only takes a few minutes to understand the story and learn to use the controls and after that players are left with a familiar game that has simply been repackaged slightly.

If you are a fan of sharp, cool and very detailed graphics, you probably will want to skip Blackshot altogether. The game’s graphics feel rather dated and many other games certainly do the same thing and more with more exciting detail. It’s a real shame, because the landscapes are gritty and with better graphics they could be very atmospheric and engaging.

The cool arena and weapons are sure to keep gamers occupied with Blackshot for hours and there is certainly plenty to do in the game. the selection of modes offers good variety. However, there is nothing here that gamers won’t have seen over and over again and the fact that the game has bugs in it can be rather frustrating.
